Thai spirits tasting

Six spirits almost nobody has tried outside Thailand: glutinous rice lao khao, a cane rum from Chonburi and four more things we brought back in a suitcase.

Each with its own bite: green mango with chilli salt, crispy pork, a tamarind broth that clears the palate in between.

It was at the Provenza bar, for eighteen people. It sold out in two days; we'll do it again.
